Contraction Timer & Counter 9m app good for
Worked great! The only things I would change is to have the option to rate the contraction intensity and it wants to send you to the hospital really fast! It didnt even have a chance to see if the close contraction was a fluke or a trend and it was saying to call an ambulance... I am guessing that is more to cover their butts legally but it was kinda annoying being told every contraction to call an ambulance...
Used this app a few days ago while Im labor. I love the clean design and the large button tap for the start and stop of contractions. Very easy to use. The updates about when to pack or leave for the hospital were also an added bonus that I appreciated. The only thing I would have liked was for there to be some way to see what time the contraction actually happened. As Im trying to think back to when I was actually in "active" labor, Im realizing that information would have been helpful. That aside! Definitely get this app.
This app was easy to use, with a simple interface. The one big button was great for my wife to press. The time display was easy to read and understand (but I already had a mental image from another website, so that I could figure out what the numbers meant). This app gave us a message that we should go to the hospital "now", at the same time that I was going to suggest to my wife that we should go.
It did what we needed it to do.
Super easy to use especially when you dont want/ cant think about difficult things
Downloaded this whilst in labour needing something that required no brain energy! Its great!
Super easy to track contractions, especially when half asleep at 2am
Some bad moments
I initially loved this app in early labour. The big button and clean display were perfect. I also liked how my phone didnt lock when the app was open - I didnt have to worry about putting my password in every time I wanted to start/stop contraction. However, it calculates the intervals wrong! The interval between contractions should be calculated from the start of one to the start of the next, not from the end of one to the start of the next (as this app does). Good interface but needs adjustment of how it calculates data. I didnt have any need to email data, but people might be annoyed to find they have to pay to email (or you can just take a screenshot and send for free!).
I logged 4 early contractions. FOUR. Then a page popped up telling me to call an ambulance or get someone to drive me to the hospital immediately. The main page also says to go to the hospital right away if the waters break which definitely does not need to happen. This app really jumps the gun with getting moms to the hospital which in itself can cause issues and lead to a longer more difficult labour. Deleted immediately.
This app told me to go to the hospital after timing my contractions for only 30 minutes. They were 7 minutes apart and less than a minute long. This is my fourth pregnancy and I know its not time to go to the hospital yet!
I found that this one had two problems. It counted the duration and intervals, but not the time that each contraction was entered (ie. An hour ago, or two?); and, the big one, you need to pay to email the info to your caregiver (which many would find out after they were timing the contractions using this and need to send them). Pretty poor timing to ask someone to pay extra.
Ask any Doctor the way to time contractions and they will tell you from the start of one to the start of
The next. This app times the length of the contraction and the time from the end of it to the beginning of the next one. This app is garbage!
Takes the guess work out and tells you when to go to the hospital! So nice when you cant think through contractions! Love this, thank you!
